Forced entry at DX

I can't find any utility in the rules to taking Forced Entry at DX. What did I miss?

I don't think there is any utility at DX for this one. The key is that as an easy skill, it is cheap to get it to DX+1 (2 points) or DX+2 (4 points). At those levels, the benefits accrue automatically without the need to roll against the skill (except in rare cases).

Yup, I can only find a singular use of rolling Forced Entry in Exploits, pg 55, getting past broken obstructions.


However, I've rolled and asked for rolls against Forced Entry a bunch, but then I don't run DFRPG straight, so instead I use a ST based Force Entry roll in Quick Contests of 'Forcing'.

This gives a reason to have Forced Entry at stat +0 and at stat > +2.
