Bard's Enthrall and running away
So this has been bugging me when my friends and I played.
I was a bard and successfully enthralled them. They told me they could just simply choose to run away by rolling a dice(5,6) and thus not giving me aid. I thought once enthralled they were forced to help me and can only run away if the main battler(myself) chooses to run away. Or they have a specific card that lets them avoid combat. Thanks |

Re: Bard's Enthrall and running away
Your friend is wrong and your interpretation seems to be fully correct. In order to Run Away, the munchkins must first lose the combat. The combat owner is the only one that can say the combat is over, not the helper. If he does admit defeat, both munchkins must then attempt to Run Away.

Re: Bard's Enthrall and running away
So if you wanted to be really Munchkinly you could Enthrall someone and as long as you are currently losing the battle (with the help) you can choose to just Run Away and make both of you roll.
I've killed a few stronger players that way.
