Default judo throws do no damage?

I'm looking at the description of judo (the Gurps skill) on p. 203 of the Basic Set. Unless I'm missing something, a successful throw knocks the opponent down and may stun him, but does no actual damage.

Is that right?

In the Basic Set, the only kind of throw is a throw that may stun. Peter and Sean's GURPS Martial Arts, on p. 75, describes how you can throw someone for damage.

I strongly recommend this book.

That is correct.

A throw is not necessarily lifting someone off the ground to land with a heavy impact. It can also be a range of trips or unbalancing techniques. For example, look at 2, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 14, 17, 18 and 21 in this video – those throws are not likely to significantly injure someone by impact.

I always did falling damage in conjunction with this. If the person is wearing armor, then usually it will do no damage anyways, but it's sometimes worth it.
