Default Disadvantages for a naive, blue-eyed PC

Hi guys

I am looking for disadvantages which suit a naive, blue-eyed PC.

Gullibility, of course, is a must. Overconfidence also might suit a young PC... but apart from that. What would you pick?

I am kind of stuck and would really like some input from you.

Cheers!

Mundane Background, if applicable. Delusion (Everyone I meet is honest and nice) could be very painful, and can be bought off gradually. Clueless is also possible.

Is "blue-eyed" a Swiss idiom for "naive"?

I've occasionally heard "blue-eyed boy" used to mean "favorite", in the same sense as "fair-haired boy" (though a lot less common in my experience). Or for a phrase at least close to "naive", I've heard "starry-eyed" or "seeing the world through rose-colored glasses". But I don't think I've heard "blue-eyed" used this way.

I was wondering the exact same thing. Onki, is there a particular connotation that you intended with "blue-eyed"? I ask because in my experience that isn't a typical American idiom, so we might be missing something about what you want.

It's a Danish idiom, but rather archaic. Probably it's a standard European (or Germanic) thing, and may be more current in Switzerland than in Denmark. It still made perfect sense to me, though.

I think it's a reference to babies (apparently?) being born with blue eyes regardless of what their later eye colour will develop into (or is that only Caucasian babies?).

So it's equivalent to 'wet behind the ears'?

"Easy to Read" might also fit. Potentially "Curious" and "Chummy" if the character always wants to be hanging around others, asking questions and getting underfoot. "Dreamer" is likely for the type, but isn't central to naiveté.

If we're including a general lack of common sense, Impulsive would work too.

"Not dry behind the ears (yet)" is Danish idiom too, and seems to me to be somewhat less archaic than "blue-eyed".

But blue-eyed has stronger connonations of being naive, whereas "wet" refers to youth and perhaps also lack of life experience. So not quite the same, although clearly related.
