Would a solo quick quest be possible?
What would be the layout for a numbered paragraph solo quick quest? (For Melee I suppose.)
1st panel: Title, cover painting, and intro/background text. 2nd panel: Rules, one small illustration, random encounter table. The one and only Melee map with A-Z randomly specked over it is the bottom of this panel or the bottom of the 3rd panel. (Every paragraph would say your hero starts at W, with this monster at T and that monster at H, or such.) 3rd to 6th panels: say 8 to 10 paragraphs per each of two columns on average. That gives you only 64 to 80 paragraphs of adventure, while Death Test is over twice as long.

I think it is doable - just find the focus of the adventure, be suscinct and try to evoke a sense of urgency to match the limited word count

Re: Would a solo quick quest be possible?
Absolutely! It could be structured as a series of, say 3-5 combat encounters (lower if you make good choices, an extra combat or two if you make bad choices, and you would be at risk at getting worn down by attrition). A number of branching paths, some replayability and some flavor/fluff can all be done in 40-60 paragraphs. The key would be interesting combat scenarios, balance of reward and threat, and some meaningful choices.

Re: Would a solo quick quest be possible?
You might be able to use some of the pre-generated NPC from the fighters cards, the Gaming Ballistics Character Collections, and the Monster Manual to save some space on the second page. The Ultrahex rules might be able to simplify the maps, but it is a big outlay compared to the price of the quick quest. Half a Death Test for $5 is a great deal and excellent for an introduction bundle.
