*the word seems to imply "not-human" and "divine" as much as it means lifespan.

Peter finishes his meal and tries to practice is godly-magic and make a puff of smoke again before taking Goliath around for some excercise.

They talk mostly among themselves, but there is a bit more talking.

Once again, its quite draining. Hopefully it will improve with the practice.


Is the exercise in the city or confined to the temple complex?

He will take Goliath out for some freesh air to stretch his legs after being cooped up in that little cage... Poor doggie!

He will take him out into the city a bit, he wants to see the current tone of the community.

Peter walks Goliath around the city. There's a brisk wind. The tone seems subdued. Maybe a little lighter than historically. He attracts attention by the nature of his clothes: people watch him everywhere he goes. Maybe things are happening in the city.



The price of food hasn't changed though.

Peter will strike up a few conversations and see what the general mood is and see if there has been any change for the populus before heading back to review the information he needs for his next trip to the realm of the gods.

One man is curious if Peter has heard anything about the Gods returning... he's heard rumors.

One woman is confused: why is a young boy wearing priest's robes, and why does a priest have a dog with him? Isn't he going to get into trouble for sacrilege?

A younger man says "What do you care priest? The gods are dead. Its every man for himself now. I don't care what scheme you've cooked up with that messenger."

A very thin man who could obviously use a bit more food says things are wonderful, great one, and he doesn't wish for a single change. He seems a bit scared, and peter doesn't believe a word he says.

A woman reacts in a similar way: The city has responded well, and Thuroma will retain its greatness among the cities of the world.


One young man asks if Peter is the emmissary, and then gets really excited about how Peter will personally bring back Ink-Thur and Arn-Oda and how everything will go back to normal and he will once again travel to other cities.



He returns to the temple complex, and reviews his messages. I take it he then goes to sleep?

Indeed. Once he's reviewed his messages and had a full day, he will head for dreamland.

Peter dreams.



Peter dreams of a dark road in an old forest, filled with gnarled trees and bristling thorn bushes. He swore indistinct shapes moved in the gaps between the trees. Walking down the road, a figure walks, wrapped in at least three layers of tunics and cloaks. The figure constantly glances from side to side. Peter gets a glance of the hooded face: its a bare skull, with only vestiges of sinew clinging to it.

"Nope nope nope!" Peter's mind panics, wanting no part of such a horror.


Peter tries to turn his dreams back to the world of the gods...
