Default Super Dwarf question

Ok, I was level 9 super dwarf (none of the bad stuff), fighting something that got +5 vs dwarves. Someone used a curse on me to remove my class (I was using a bunch of dwarf only weapons). The card said I was to replace my class with the first class I came across in the discard pile, which happened to be another dwarf.

1) Because I was a super class, the monster didn't get the +5 bonus, right?
2) Should I have lost my superclass status because of the curse? Or was my old class instantly replaced by my new class, keeping my superclass card?

None of us had ever played before, so no one complained, I just want to know if my win was legit, or if there were extra modifiers that should have come into play. If I lost my superclass status, it might have been enough to tip the win to the monster (I was also backstabbed 3x).

I'm assuming you actually mean "Race" and not "Class," since you're talking about the Dwarf card and Dwarf-only items. Unless you were using Dwarf with Super Munchkin, in which case that's quite incorrect.

1) Correct. Have only one Race equipped to a Half-Breed eliminates monster bonuses against that Race.

2) Keeping the Half-Breed was correct, because you lost the first Dwarf and then got another Dwarf all in the span of that Curse's effect. If the effect simply got rid of your Race and nothing else, and you didn't have a Race in your hand to play, then you would have lost the Half-Breed.

Also, you were backstabbed three times? What, were there 3 players all playing Thieves? How mean, haha.

Hmmmm. . .

I just want to clear some things up, first: Dwarf is a Race, not a Class, so you can't use Super Munchkin with it.

So, assuming you were using Half-Breed instead (which would make you a half-Dwarf), when you got hit with Curse! Change Race, you would have lost Dwarf and Half-Breed, which you would have replaced with the other Dwarf you picked up. This means the Monster would have gotten it's +5 bonus unless you chose to discard Dwarf altogether.

I didn't think Half-Breed was attached that much to a single Race! News to me.

Didn't you just say the same thing? I don't understand your confusion. Edit: Never mind, I misread something.

All of your assumptions are correct--I couldn't remember the name of it, but it was the half-breed.

I'll have to tell the guys there is an asterisk next to my win.

I am confident the only time you can retain Half-Breed/Super Munchkin is when you yourself are switching races/classes out intentionally. When you are forced to lose races and classes, you lose the Half-Breed/Super Munchkin.

I am willing to bet that if no races were in the discard pile, you'd simply lose your race according to the curse... which means you lose your Half-Breed anyway.

I have a few those (though none for Munchkin that I can recall), too, so don't feel too bad about. :-)

If you lose all your Races (Half-Breed) or Classes (Super Munchkin), you must discard that card as well. If you are changing Races or Classes, just be sure to add new ones before discarding old ones, and you'll be fine.
