[Infinite Worlds] Variations
I think it would be more interesting to have "In The Cube" not as a misfired Homeline experiment but as a misfired first attempt at parachronic travel. Homeline and Centrum would both be after them, out to try to find out where they came from so they can try to try to nip this new competitor in the bud.

Re: [Infinite Worlds] Variations
There's a long dead system called Torg that had some interesting ideas for interdimensional conquerors. The lineup was:
Marketplace: A corporation from a world with corporate government covertly moves in, superior technology and organization (plus some offworld importation) to outcompete and replace local businesses while suborning and undermining government. Which is actually kind of like Homeline. Magna Verita: A corrupted Catholic church with cyberpunk technology offers a virtual heaven after death to those who accept the necessary cybernetic implants to record and transfer their minds. Gaia/Orrorsh: Supernatural monsters created and ruled by a being that feeds on fear and their "Victorian" foes colonialize in pursuit of them. The Living Land: A sentient jungle filled with living fog spreads from world to world, remaking them into primitive wilderness dotted by the ruins of cities. Terra/Nile Empire: 1940s supervillain with an Egyptian theme uses a mixture of weird science, magic and World War II technology to conquer worlds. Aysle: Well actually Aysle was pretty boring. Generic fantasy BS. |
