That's excellent. Great fodder for storytelling, adventures hooks, etc.
Thanks!

Thank you! I had fun with that. It started off as a beast writeup, and I kept thinking of more interesting places to take it, and turned it into a rumor so I didn't have to throw away any of the good ideas. And it flowed much better that way.

What about those rumors I've heard about? Some family by the name of Darkasian, who market a line of fashion wear for those strange creatures?

I hear the fall line is simply to die for...

Yeah, it's great because a GM could do whatever they want with it, including just having rumors.

I think creative and varied rumors go really well with TFT. The rumors section of Tollenkar's Lair is wonderful and can lead to more adventures and interesting campaign situations than the adventure itself!

And unlike the published adventure or a published creature description, it sparks a fire of interest in players and lets GMs do anything with it, since no one can already know what's true by reading the book or having played it before.

And beyond all that, rumors suggest a whole dimension of campaign and adventure GM'ing that suggests that GM creativity and surprises and incomplete/wrong information can be at least as interesting as the situations themselves, and that playing out gathering information and looking for what's actually in the world with incomplete information can be a really fun way to play (as opposed to getting/knowing the truth as a player from reading books).
