I'm not sure whether this is weird or not, but it's at least odd. Two Japanese girls sing about Tarako fish-roe pasta sauce.

Someone is using carefully calibrated attacks against key institutions of the internet to gauge their stability and ability to respond to threats. That is, someone is learning how to take down the internet. It's probably a nation-state, perhaps China.

A victim of drug overdose was found frozen in ice in an abandoned Detroit warehouse.

Mallows Bay: a graveyard for hundreds of ships built during WWI, and ultimately abandoned when the war ended.

Surely nothing valuable, nothing secret, nothing paradigm-shifting, could have been left on one of those vessels when it sank, only to be discovered a century later by a crew of hard-working marine historians and salvage experts.

The Canadian military is investigating a mysterious "pinging" sound coming from the ocean floor somewhere in the arctic.

reminds of how they hid the ark at the end of the last Indiana Jones movie.

And a giant fleet of scuttled troop transports is just an awesome place to do a set piece in. Good find.

With that much iron and salt (from the water) all in the same place, kinda makes you wonder what sort of spiritual being they're keeping suppressed, eh?

Sure, they say it's an old nuke to keep people away from the site. But looking at the description,

Quote:
Talking to the BBC, Mr Smyrichinsky described it as... perfectly flat on top with a rounded bottom and had a hole in the centre just “like a bagel.”
it's clearly a classic UFO saucer that flipped over during the crash shattering the dome, not a Fat Man bomb. It's either the source of an alien replicator infestation, or contains a computer bearing the consciousness of an alien advisor. Either way, I'm sure the PCs can deal with it.
