Okay, I'm doing a test here for the flying enemies.

Are you guys going to be able to make sense of this if I do the following:

Ground

Air

Flying enemy heights:

1 - 4 yards
2 - 6 yards
3 - 7 yards
4 - 3 yards
5 - 5 yards
6 - 10 yards

Makes sense to me.

Edited to add: I suppose I should clarify 'makes sense'.

I take it from the maps that demon-thing 4 is 3 yards directly above Jorrik, and incidentally within reach of his sword. (Average human height ~2yds, broadsword has a reach of 1).

Also, if you're worried about overlapping figures, you could make the flying ones somewhat transparent and superimpose them over the ones on the ground, thus having both figures on the same map.

I'm not sure how easy that would be to read, but it might work.

I understand that to mean that scorpiondemonbat 5 immediately above me at a range of 3 yards. If that's correct, I understand it just fine.

I've always had trouble with aerial combat.

I think you have it right. Assuming each block is one yard in height:

[Monster #5]
[]
[]
[John's upper body and head]
[John's legs and feet]
GROUND

those are yards from the ground, if so then I understand it.

That's how I saw it.

I understand the 2 combat maps.

Also, I need to teach so many party members how to cast Lend Energy it isn't even funny any more.

Whoa, you have higher imbue skills than I do, and a broader base of other functions. No, that's not a complaint; I'm impressed. Teach me, jedi master!

I believe I'm covered in that regard. Unless you mean to power you.
