Default Evil Is A Foot [Bites]

Greetings! My name is Keith and I am the game owner for Munchkin Bites and Pants Macabre.

So there's this Level 13 monster called "Evil Is A Foot!"

It reads: "Any Footgeat card can be played as a one-shot to aid the Foot, giving twice its normal level bonus but no special powers. Bad StuffYou are deFEETed. Lose your Footgear and a level."

Understand this to mean that any footgear one has in their hand may be placed with the monster to enhance it.

What I'm unsure about is:

(1) Can one use their carried/in use footgear (not in their hand) to aid the monster?
(2) Nothing but footgear counts towards the "giving twice its normal level bonus but no special powers" and regular monster enhancers would only add what is written on the card
(3) The footgear sent as a one shot: does it add 8 if it was a +4 bonus originally? Or does simply adding any footgear double the monster's level? IE I add some worthless no bonus footgear and the monster is 26

Thank you for your time,
Keith

Whenever a card says to play something, it will specify whether it is from hand, or in play. So, if is just says "any footgear", it can be from your hand or in play. There are cards that will specify one or the other. If it does not specify, it can be wherever you have one.

1. Yes
2. Correct
3. The foot gear bonus is what is doubled. So your initial part is right; a +4 Footgear would be a +8 enhancer.

Also, I believe that you cannot use the footgear you ARE wearing at that time to enhance it.

Why not? Any means any. If his text is accurate, then I know of no reason you cannot.

I was looking at it from a roleplay angle...

"Oh, wait, let me take off my shoes and give them to the monster before you attack it so it can better kick your butt."

Would take more time than just throwing a pair of shoes from your belongings (that you are not wearing, but rather, carrying) at the monster itself.

Don't infer rules that aren't present on the cards or in the rules.
