You know the terrible thing is that I Live in MI where the fulfillment center is and for the life of me can't figure out any reason for why they haven't shipped things at least in state; no tornado; no flooding (otherwise Phil would have told us). Sitting on my hands......now.

These sorts of distribution centers usually prep all the packages going out to a specific area (the USA) then drop them off en masse at the shipping point; rather than making multiple runs to the post office as individual packages are ready.

I would think not. It would seem that USPS would come to them on a scheduled day for a mass pickup. No different than any freight company.
