Default Biosculpting tl in gurps biotech

Just a quick question about the split tl for some of the biosculpting surgeries in gurps biotech, what exactly do they represent? (I know this is a very short post, if this better suited to a specific thread or something then I'll post it there instead.)

If you mean the ones on p.169 and 170 generally they're documenting the existence of crude proceedures at TL7 that give way to better tech and techniques at later TLs.

If you want an exact list of these proceedures by their Real World names with descriptions of their shortcomings that's a lot of trouble for little purpose and in somecases flirting with the filters of this forum.

The bits in Bio-tech could perhaps do with some "malf numbers" for each surgery with crit fails being disasters and not quite so bad numbers being only disappointments but it'd all be a lot of research for too small of an audience.
