Default Duck People

Goblin sized semi-humanoids. May have started as a wizard's prank, but have bred true since.

Typically unarmored with just a belt and backpack because wearing clothes or armor negates some of their abilities as shown below.

Duck Person ST 6, DX 10, IQ 8 plus 8 points, MA 8

Their waddling gait is ill-suited for heavy loads. Treat all carried weight over twice their strength in pounds as 50% more than it actually is for the purposes of encumbrance. Note that their MA in armor is two less than a human's.

They have the racial talent of Swimming and when unarmored and unencumbered they float well enough to have their full MA on top of water. If they have the diving talent then they can hold their breath for twice as long as a human.

Even though their wings end in fingers they are still feathered. While they are unable to actually fly they can glide a horizontal distance equal to their fall if unarmored and unencumbered. If they land in water at the end of a glide they will be unharmed. Otherwise treat their landing from a glide as a fall of the lesser of the actual height or 10 yards plus or minus their margin of success on a 3/DX roll.

While unarmored they fluff out their feathers sufficiently to stop one hit per attack. This doesn't stack with worn armor, but does stack with magical protections such as Stone Flesh.
