Default Any word on Battlefields?

Just wondering, as things have been pretty quiet news-wise lately.

We'll make an announcement when things are ready. You may have noticed that we've been a little busy with Ogre Miniatures Set 2 lately . . .

One project at a time.

Given that I'm feeling a little schizophrenic at work due to working on too many projects at once, I wholeheartedly endorse this concept! :)

I'll just take this as Battlefields is still on the horizon.

Battlefields is, in addition to being a very logical next expansion for O6e, technically an ODE Kickstarter obligation. One of the very few remaining. And as we saw from last year's stakeholder report, SJG is taking their remaining Kickstarter obligations very seriously, prioritizing them above pretty much everything else until they're knocked out. So It's definitely still going to be on the horizon.

[The really interesting thing, in light of the strict prioritization described in that stakeholder report, is the strong emphasis on Miniature Set 2. SJG haven't released any numbers, and will probably never do so officially, but selling plastic can be enormously profitable once you recover your startup costs. It may be safe to infer that Miniature Set 1 was a significant success from a dollar-volume standpoint, to so powerfully motivate a followup so quickly.]

It is very much on my plate and as HeatDeath explained, an obligation. But as Phil also delineated, there is only so much bandwidth to apply to Ogre, and we've had a few other projects bubbling away recently! But fear not! It is coming . . .

Thanks much - I seem to recall the last bit of news implied we'd get more news in December, which is why I asked.

One thing I've learned is never read a date into anything when it comes to getting information. They have been very good about letting us know about stuff when there's something to know; so if we haven't heard anything, there's nothing to hear yet. :-)

I'm going to be playing Battlefields by ear when it comes...mainly because I need to get my hands on a S1/S2/G1/G2 set, and am not sure whether that's going to come by tracking down an ODE, sucking it up and getting a set from W23, or crossing my fingers that they're part of the Battlefields KS.

You will probably need to cross a lot more than your fingers for that to happen. I don't see it being part of the KS; at best, maybe an add-on. Those would be a lot of bloat, both in the offered set and the shipping.
