Because those have some quality, or because they're all that's left when the rest are disqualified?

Those are the character types that I find it easiest to work with and so provide a good experience for my players for a few reasons. Though if I could come up with good premise for it, I'd consider a short all bioroid campaign, maybe as a side story.

Also, why is it that the first design you imagine for a bioroid is a sex-purposed one, and a badly designed one at that?
Sadly, the largest niche market for bioroids would be sick fetish slavery.
Badly designs was probably hyperbole. But it could also mean that once a sexual fad dies down, the workers need to switch, but are therefore "badly designed" for their new job. Especially if they can't afford the medical adjustments to fit the new fad.

Okay, I admit sociopath may be a bit hyperbolic. Callous to a level I consider sad and somewhat frightening may be more along the right lines.
I apologise for using such inflammatory wording.

Are you describing the baseline setting or your version?

Baseline. Bioroids can't compete with A.I. robots in ability, or humans for prevalence/cheapness. So they're a niche market for those wanting designer flesh and blood slaves. Kind of hard to think of many non-icky uses.

Where did this come from? I mention one type of character that I thought qualified as "transhuman" but you apparently do not and it some how turns into me not allowing any other type of character?

Sex slaves are a prominent type of bioroid. There are others but they are frequently bigger dead ends than the Eros.

As I read the setting there are plenty of bioroids serving other roles.

I wouldn't dream of trying.

Different strokes for different folks. My group is mainly interested in playing humans. One might want to play a bioroid at some point but it mild curiosity.

Dead Ends in what sense?
