Default Just received my TFT Legacy game

Just received my Fantasy Trip legacy game 2 days ago. I played Melee and Wizard 40 years ago in my early 20s. Now I'm 67 and just by happenstance looked up the game on-line to see what the status of it is and then got excited to see it has been renewed. I'm looking forward to relearning the rules and gameplay, then try to find some friends to enjoy this with me. Thank you TFT Steve Jackson.

Welcome to the TFT Legacy club.

Go to the SJG gamestore to see what else is new.

Also, if you have trouble finding local players, some of us have been playing via the internet.

Welcome back!

Just FYI, there are some changes but not many. All changes are for the better, IMHO. I think there is at least one thread here where the changes are listed.

Welcome. Please let me what additional significant changes you find in the rules so that I may add them to my list. This is only a spot check so far so I suspect there are other changes I overlooked: https://www.hcobb.com/tft/legacy_first.html

I would be interested in playing online if it would be convenient. How is it done, and how many currently play? I'm still reviewing everything and inserting the errata into my book. Does anyone think there will be a 2nd printing with the errata already included?
Thanks for the links and responses, it's much appreciated.

Check out Roll20. You can play and even GM for free. https://roll20.net/welcome

I'll second Roll20. You can accomplish a lot with just the free account. As much as I love playing at a real table with all the physical components, online play offers a lot to a GM. There's setup, but no cleanup or commute.

I concur.

The set up is a draw back because one has to train themselves to be able to do it on Roll20. Once you have a reasonable library of counters and images, it becomes more manageable. I do see where Roll20 becomes very cumbersome when the PC and NPC count gets high. I currently have a total of 17 (5 PCs and 12 NPCs) going in a ambush skirmish. It's slow but manageable so far. Table top games are a little more forgiving when these numbers become large.

Hexmaps are a bit of a pain on Roll20 so I've made a few videos on how to carefully adjust them and other tips for TFT GMing
https://youtu.be/AZJd3gAu438

It would be so very nice if somebody would invent Automated Interpolation that would allow you to upload an image and then this AI system would think "Oh, a hex grid! I know how to move around on that!" and would adjust its own grid to match the printed lines, but it the meantime you'll just have to line it up by eye.
