Time Warp vs 2018 New Global Rule #2 & Leech Bomb
Greetings from Croatia. I have a sort-of question about the Star Munchkin gameplay, but I guess this can be extrapolated to similar situations in any other Munchkin game.
Since the new global rules update, I have been seeing a surge of unimaginative tactics in my Star Munchkin games with friends and family, and it is solely the rule #2 in the FAQ that affects this. Now that the combat ends immediately when all monsters are removed or killed, everybody is trying to do the following: (1) get the Leech Bomb and a 2 Level reward monster (e.g. Frank the Tank, Space Probe, Ogre) and Look for Trouble while Level 8 for an instant win by leech-bombing the monster or (2) do the same while Level 9 with any other monster or (3) just leech-bomb the monster you get from the Open the Door phase while you're Level 9. You'd be surprised how often this happens in a four player game, and it has been leading to some very disappointing conclusions of games that were quite interesting up to that point. I have been trying to mend this by introducing a house rule that you can Time Warp a Leech Bomb used in a one-monster combat. So, I just want to know does anybody else have the same problem with the Leech Bomb or similar cards in other sets? And if you do, how do solve that problem? And is it okay to allow Time Warp to break the new rule #2? |

Re: Time Warp vs 2018 New Global Rule #2 & Leech Bomb
Time Warp explicitly cancels a previously played card and absolutely WILL undo a Leech Bomb.
