You think 'Camp Cholera' was bad enough ? During the 1st Gulf War , friends of mine stationed out in the desert came up with their own recipe for 'Xtra Hot Camp Curry' - the after effects turned out to be similar to being at 'Camp Cholera' anyway ...

Okay the SIZE issue : Check this link to ADQ 8/3 It's the Size That Counts !
http://www.sjgames.com/carwars/adq/8/3/8-3-Size.html

Also as an addition to that mentioned above , yes while many Roman's from the Southern part of Italy and the Empire were on average 5' 6" . those from Northern Italy were 3 or so inches taller . I seem to remember this from a New Scientist article from about 8 years ago . I'm half Italian and regard myself lucky that my Father was from the North West of Italy with some Austrian blood - I'm 5' 11" on a good day , which helps counteract my 300+lbs weight ! ( Damn You underactive Thyroid ! Damn You ! ) For all of that I'm still fairly compact due to a lot of muscle and probably still only take up 2 spaces as a non-driving passenger .

Me neither. I'm glad Racer brought us (okay, me) back on track. I was thinking of that ADQ article and I'm glad he provided the link.

Also, somewhat minorly related, there is a short story (that I believe was the inspiration for Death Race 2000) in the book Car Sinister that has all the wheeled characters possess shriveled/shrunken legs since they don't walk, only drive. That might explain why they only weigh 150 lbs. !!!!!

"Kids in Car Wars" in ADQ 2-2 also addresses size to some extent.

That would be Fritz Leiber's "X Marks The Pedwalk".

_DR2K_ was inspired by Ib Melchior's "The Racer".
