Default Selling no value items?

A friend had a "no value" big item that he could not carry so I said I would take it as everyone else already had a big item.

He did not want to give it to me so our other friend suggested that he could sell it with other items as long as they added up to 1000 gold.

I felt that since this item had no value it could not be sold and the big item rule of giving it away should automatically apply.

Am I correct?

According to the rules, "No Value" is the same as zero Gold Pieces. Since it is an Item, it can be sold along with enough other Items to total at least 1,000 Gold Pieces. (This is a clever way to ditch that Huge Rock you don't want anymore!)
