Charity Strategy?
I wanted to get a clarification on charity since I think it really put me in a position to win the game last night. I was the lowest level so as players finished their turns I was getting all their excess cards. On top of that I was not getting monsters when I kicked down the door so I continued to stay in last place (and continued to get players excess cards). I would play as many cards as I could on my turn and then discard down to five. By the time I started getting monsters I was almost unstoppable because I had so much equipment and good cards in my hand. I know it's random if you get monsters when you kick down a door but if you decide not to look for trouble in order to maintain last place it seems like this could be a strategy to build up combat strength. Then by the time you begin to fight monsters you're in a much better position to progress quickly to level 9.

Re: Charity Strategy?
It sounds like the other players were rather generous with their Charity, if they were giving you Items. Since you can carry any number of Items, even Items you can't use, one doesn't really have to give away such useful stuff as a part of Charity. Otherwise, the whole point of Charity is to give the guy who's been stuck at the bottom SOME help. It's a game balancing feature.
