Wizard pregens
Are there pregenerated for Wizard anywhere? I've been playing Melee at work, just simple free for alls with 3 or 4 pregen characters. I'd like to try Wizard out but it seems orders of magnitude more complicated.
Maybe if someone could suggest a basic set of spells and we'll try it with everyone using the same character. |

If you want disoptimized wizards then just refresh this a few times:

Re: Wizard pregens
The Decks of Destiny expansion includes pre-gen wizards. That will ship early in 2020.

Re: Wizard pregens
That randomized squad page doesn't seem to generate Wizards.
I will definitely for into the pre-gen Wizards in Decks of Destiny. In the meantime, I'm just looking for a way to introduce this game to a group of casual players at work. The only Wizard character of any kind I can find anywhere is the example in the rulebook, Yzor, human wizards. So guess I will just make up three Yzors and give it a go. |

Re: Wizard pregens
Doesn't it give you Yzor's opponent Krait, too?
It's not that hard to just pick any combination of ST, DX and IQ totaling 32, and then pick legal spells for them from Wizard. Learning what ones might work well is part of the fun that new players get to enjoy. All of the spells in Wizard are combat spells. For a wizard to be able to win a fight without ally warriors, the wizard needs spells that can end a fight - so any Summon or Illusion spell, or any Missile Spell, or any spell that can otherwise take out a foe (e.g. Sleep, Freeze) or reduce them to where the wizard can expect to beat them with his staff despite having little ST left himself (e.g. Rope, Clumsiness). |
