Default GURPS Middle Ages II

Sorry if this has been asked before, but was there ever going to be a second volume to the GURPS Middle Ages supplement?

Thanks for any response.

The short answer is no.

I'm sure there were at least vague plans (else they wouldn't have named the first book Middle Ages I), but I never saw anything beyond that to suggest that a second book was to be produced.

As I understand, the plan was that Middle Ages 2-x would focus on other parts of Europe the way that MA 1 did on Britain, but line was scrapped in favor of other things. If a Middle Ages worldbook(s) were to be published for 4e, I doubt that it will be organized the same way.

SJ Games long ago stopped publishing historical supplements in physical format. And yes, I still miss the 3rd Edition days. DF is all very good (and Action is even better!), but those "distilled for gamers" real-world information books were very useful.

Agreed. Mind you, they might eventually start up something like that in PDF, possibly as part of the Low-Tech line.

Well, they did publish a PDF on the Crusades. And also that one about the cathedral, although because of inadequate "playtesting" they failed utterly at making sure that PDF their would also be useful for GMs with campaigns set in the early medieval period (where the Gothic architectural style would be a blatant anachronism).

Like, you know, the period of GURPS freakin' Vikings.

I forget, was Vikings published before or after Middle Ages I?

Thanks everyone.

I've always found the GURPS books to be excellent references.

I don't actually know. My point is that the Cathedrals PDF was published long after both GURPS Vikings and GURPS Middle Ages 1.
