Re: The unofficial new units thread
I'll see what I can do, as you're not the only one who's asked.

Re: The unofficial new units thread
It's very easy just look at the header line of the Ogre/GEV forum. You'll see the title "thread tools". Click on it and select printable version. From there I'm sure you can either print it out or change your printer setting to save as pdf.

Re: The unofficial new units thread
Can I add a GEV unit I thought of?
This craft, this craft and this craft (built by the Russians) got me thinking of maybe a Superheavy GEV that might be used along side a navy or something. Combine Navy Super-heavy GEV-PC (x2 attacks) 3 attack / 2 range Defense 4 3/2 GEV movement mode 12.5 Victory Points / 2 Armor Units Able to transport 3 infantry squads or one light tank or one light GEV internally. It typically takes over 15 minutes to disgorge a light armored vehicle from the internal bay. For this reason, are marine infantry almost always used on beach combat assaults. Built in limited numbers, these Super-heavy GEV-PCs served well in the island campaign against the Nihon empire. It's spacious internal space once designed to house a missile launcher and ammunition was converted to Marine powered infantry stowage. It's twin cannons are surplus OGRE secondary batteries cut down to fit onto the large chassis. Slower than it's GEV cousin, it packs a punch as well as an entire infantry company. The armor and range, though not as strong or as far reaching as a Super-heavy Tank, protects the infantry inside from small to medium caliber weaponry.

Re: The unofficial new units thread
Do you still reduce movement at certain damage thresholds like tread Ogres do, or is it simply capable of moveing normally until it runs out of leg damage?

Re: The unofficial new units thread
GEV Bike
Move 4/3 (GEV) ATT - RNG - DEF as INF. (ATT + DEF stack in the same way). Basically two big ducted fans with a power pack, seat and a pair of handlebars squeezed between them. Vibrates far too much to be used without power armour. You would have to be insane to ride one of these on a battlefield, which may go some way to explaining all the custom paint jobs and accessories... Dunno about the cost. Can anyone point me at some usable miniatures? Last edited by lokke; 03-05-2022 at 02:03 PM. |

Re: The unofficial new units thread
^ I just tried that. Treating it as an INF squad with GEV movement gives 7.7 VPs or 1.5 AU.
Unless I'm doing something wrong? Seems a reasonable price to give grunts a decent movement rate. |

But with the latter, it comes out to 2.67 VP or 0.5 AU per squad, meaning 8.01 VP or 1.5 AU for a platoon of three squads. Also, did you set the attack to "Doubles in Overruns"?
