Curse question
Greetings,
I think I know the answer to this question, but as it caused significant debate, I would like some clarification from someone more knowledgeable. In a recent game of Adventure Time Munchkin, Player A cursed Player B with a lose a level curse when B was on level one. The B then attempted to play a "go up a level" card to avoid death, arguing that since the card declares that it can be played at any time, that he was within his rights to do so. My instinct tells me this is not correct, since had he gone down a level, he would have died and thus lost his cards, but he argued so doggedly for the play that the game actually became a little too tense to be enjoyable and so we just let him have his way (actually, we rolled the die to determine the outcome). If someone could provide me with an "official enough" ruling to put this debate to rest, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Re: Curse question
Sure thing. You can't go below Level 1, and only effects that explicitly say they cause Death do so. In this case, the player would just ignore the Curse.
