By the suggested retail, it's actually 12 dice and 12 cards for $35.70.

My local store used to sell jumbo d6s for two dollars each with no art work, no branding, and no cards at all. That was almost ten years ago.

For an extra 95 cents (per die) I get Munchkin art and a cool card. I think that's a good deal.

I guess these sets have more appeal to hardcore dice enthusiasts.
