Status of the Girl Genius RPG?

Not asking for release dates or anything like that, but I'd very much like to know where the book is now, and what SJ Games' plans are. I really want to see this one, and I suspect I'm not alone.

Thank you for the info, Paul. To be honest, after so much time without any update on the webpage, I was afraid that it had been cancelled. I'm very glad that it is not the case.

If I may push my luck a bit more . . . is there any possibility of seeing it in 2008?

Until we see the text, any dates we attach will be largely speculation. Sorry.

That's OK. My main worry was that the book had been cancelled; as it is not the case, I am satisfied. Thank you for your answers!

PS: May I suggest you add status updates to the pages of the pending projects from time to time? Even if it is just a couple of lines every x months, as you did for Vorkosigan. I don't think it would take much time and the fans would really appreciate it.

Our official policy is not to discuss the specifics of any project more than a few months away from release. While our discussions here, and on other forums, are technically "official answers," they're not as "OFFICIAL" as a status report on a product page would be. And given the fluid nature of such projects, we don't want to be that official.

Now, having said that, we do often mention certain milestones that projects pass in various places, such as the Daily Illuminator. SJ gushed about GURPS Bio-Tech as far back as March of last year, for instance.
