Default Curse to lose item with biggest bonus??

Hi there,

If a curse instructs a player to lose the item with the biggest bonus, does that include any item enhancers, or just the base bonus?

Thanks

I'm not sure whether this one got an official ruling, but this was discussed recently in another thread (which I unfortunately cannot find) and the consensus was that the Item Enhancers do add their bonus to the Item they are enhancing when determining the Item with the biggest bonus.

An Item Enhancer's bonuses adds to the overall bonus of the Item, as well as the Item Enhancers GP value add, for the purposes of cards where the bonus or GP value matter. I'm not sure why you use the term "consensus," Clipper, when I'm fairly certain an official ruling was given in the aforementioned thread.

This is one case where I honestly couldn't remember whether it was officially ruled or not and I didn't want to misquote you or Andrew. Thanks for clearing it all up.

Clarification.......if I draw the "Cures Lose The item that gives you the biggest bonus" card and I have equipped items that are +3 and below but have a one shot that is +5 to my next combat, can i disguard that card instead of the non one shot items?

No, because it's not giving you a bonus at that moment. (And if it is, then you've played it and it's not technically "your Item" at that point.)
