Plus, you can replicate the problem by changing security settings, but I can't fix it even by turning off every security feature I can find. It's frustrating.

On Chrome and my Android 'phone, I have a further problem: the icons displayed next to thread titles for "Go to first unread post" don't work properly any more. When I use them, the thread loads into the browser, but does not scroll to the first unread posting.

I only noticed the menus not working right when it was mentioned in this thread. EDIT: Sincere thanks for trying to help, Anthony. Up to this point I was just about to chalk it up to Loki or Coyote taking an interest in me again. :)

Re: Unable to use Standard Editor Options
Okay, I think turning on developer tools may have told me what's going on. If you check out http://forums.sjgames.com/clientscri...etin_global.js the javascript is obviously corrupted.
Code:

Re: Unable to use Standard Editor Options
OK, I went through everything I have available on this machine and its attendant VMs. In some cases I checked for updates and tried it again.
Looking at this more thorough analysis, it's pretty obvious that it's only working in browsers where I've visited recently and the site has existing cookies and cache. Force-reloading didn't change anything either way, but after I cleared all browsing data on my phone I got the same failed site as in all the browsers where I haven't visited recently. Logging in afterwards didn't change anything on a quick test. Browsing to http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?p=2126343 I get: Windows 10 Pro 1703 64-bit With Popup Menus Vivaldi 1.12.955.38 32-bit (Extensions enabled.) Re: Unable to use Standard Editor Options
Call this a hunch, but I suspect that the issue described in this thread might be related to this issue.
EDIT: And roughly ten minutes after I posted that, I got hit by both that problem and this one - during the same login session where I didn't have the issues to begin with. Windows XP, Opera 36.0
