Yeah, I get it, it's just that comfort is always a no-brainer and the effects of the two other are resolved in one random encounter roll, which isn't very dramatic, so why bother?

Well, in areas known to have exceptionally deadly beasties the heroes might just opt for no comfort and take the other two.

Have to get Peter Dell'Orto in here to see what his Players did in his Cold Fens game as they had some very deadly beasts (at lest one Dragon) wandering that swamp...

Having the PCs play a long-range recon unit during a war (possibly in a huge cave room, between the dwarves and deep ogres, because dungeons) certainly shifts priorities around...
