Re: TL11^ Smart Shuriken - Awesome but Not?
Well, it's UT that needs fixing, since (a) the proper way of writing masses of gear is to include the mass (but not the cost) of necessary cells, as per UT and (b) a half-pound shuriken doesn't look right anyway.
I think it's reasonable to assume that the shuriken just slipped through the occasional erratification attempts. |

Re: TL11^ Smart Shuriken - Awesome but Not?
1/2 pound is in no way a shuriken unless the wielder is a giant.
It's a hunga munga at best.

Re: TL11^ Smart Shuriken - Awesome but Not?
I'd probably call using a C-cell a typo; it's probably meant to have a B-cell or maybe even an A-cell.

Re: TL11^ Smart Shuriken - Awesome but Not?
That makes sense, although it still seems doubtful that the weight of blades+drives+cell is the same as a dumb shuriken, even taking ultra-tech materials into account. Also: 4x(0.1)^(1/3)=~1.9 and rounds up to 2 HP.

Re: TL11^ Smart Shuriken - Awesome but Not?
Wasn't that the shtick of one of the characters from Mystery Men the movie? Her father's spirit or something was in a bowling bowl and she could throw with extreme effect. It's been years since I watched it.
