Re: GURPS Vehicles: Steampunk Conveyances
I only want the vehicles, not the settings and other material I assume are in the 3rd edition books. That's even if I cared to do the conversion or believed that nearly everything was a copy-paste the way 4th Magic is.

Re: GURPS Vehicles: Steampunk Conveyances
Unfortunately, the Academy is yet to rule on the precise definitions of any of these terms. So I gave my own definitions in Steampunk 1 (and where appropriate, stuck to them as best I could in Conveyances).

Re: GURPS Vehicles: Steampunk Conveyances
I see this all over the place and not just tabletop RPGs. Apparently a lot of people seem to think the time needed to do something yourself has no value at all and ignore that the do-it-yourself version is probably objectively inferior. (It crops up in IT and computing a lot.)

Re: GURPS Vehicles: Steampunk Conveyances
Any Rules or Examples for 1960's Tech Steam Powered Luxury Car/Limousines ?
Especially those that can function in EMP zones due to devices or Nuclear Explosions - like those at the end of The Mad Goblin by Philip José Farmer ? Or small updated early 21st Steam Locomotives running on Solid Fuel/Bio Fuels & recirculating/condensing the water for repeat use ? Article on them around 2003 in New Scientist magazine - their efficiency approached that of Petrol Engines & required about 1/20th the time/effort to build up steam before use , compared to traditional early 20th Century Steam Railway Engines .

Re: GURPS Vehicles: Steampunk Conveyances
Does the appearance of this Vehicles series mean that there are no plans for a vehicle design system, like third edition GURPS got from David Pulver?
