GURPS Stormbringer or Elric

Could GURPS get the license to make Stormbringer or Elric? I have not seen any products from that line in a long time. Or would it cost too much?

I doubt it would be worth the time and resources. I'm not sure Discworld made a profit and that has a hella more brand recognition these days than Elric.

No need. Stormbringer RPG is a Chaosium game, which uses the same system as Call of Cthulhu, which has a GURPS supplement (GURPS Cthulhupunk). Which means you already have the basics of the conversion on hand.

That might not be the critical factor. All past efforts to cross over and bring fans of other products into Gurps have disappointed to my layman's knowledge.

Since the number of people who used to buy Gurps products is so much higher than the number who buy now the ideal product might be the one that would recapture the highest number of old Gurps fans.

I would be interested in playing a GURPS Stormbringer game on Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds, if anybody wants to GM it.

So, the magic would have to be ritual and demonic anyhow. Law gets clockwork birds and stuff but it's rare.

Involuntary Patron maybe.

There are other magicala rtifacts that seem to be artifacts only and not seni-bound demons (Arrows of Law, Shield of Chaos). They don't seem to be durable though. They only show up for one battle it seems like and at the GM's discretion. I'd just handwave them.

The game have nothing that some other GURPS book have, so except for some translation of characters and items it have little reason to exist, specially considering the marketing considerations mentioned above.

It may be an interesting book with some crossover potential for Infinite World and Banestorm, though.

This assumes you can get a copy of Cthulhupunk. They're not easy to come by, no doubt having been consumed by monsters over the year.
