I think it's a good idea. Give the Patrons exclusive use of it for a year or two, then make it open to all.

As I've only recently become a Patreon (and mostly communicate via Twitter) I'd love to see some of the older content made available again.

I do enjoy the idea of limited time deals on Patreon though! Makes it interesting.

Speaking as someone who is not a Patron (sorry), the quality of the blog for non-patrons is kind of non-existent recently. And I totally understand that. You have a right to ask people to pay for your material: I wouldn't bring it up if you hadn't of asked. But the blog is pretty empty if you're not a patron.
