Default Half Breed

I'm not sure how this turned into a debate, but I need a rules clarification: Does the change-race curse take away half-breed from someone who is a half-elf, or do they get to remain half-human with their new race?

I'm not sure how it turned into a debate either, because:

1) Half-Breed says "Lose this card if you lose your Race card(s)."

2) Curse! Change Race says "The first Race card you come to replaces your current Race(s)."

Therefore, you lose all your current Races, and when that happens, Half-Breed goes with them.

A. You can turn from a half-breed dwarf-elf to a half-breed dwarf-human, or, if you have the Halfling card, dwarf-halfling. This doesn't make you lose Half-Breed. Super Munchkin follows a similar principle, but must always have two classes; if you can not legally supply a second class immediately, then Super Munchkin must be discarded.
The curse removes your race(s), then immediately supplies a new one. How do you reconcile your post and the FAQ?

The difference is one of voluntary removal and un-voluntary removal. When you discard a class/race to replace it with another it is voluntary, and doesn't make you lose the half-breed/super munchkin card.

When you lose the class/race to a curse, it is un-voluntary, and such removes the whole that is your class's/race's and half-breed/super munchkin, then replaces them with a new class/race.

I thought it doesn't matter is it un-voluntary or voluntary. But then it may be the wording lose your race vs change your race.

This topic was discussed in this thread, in regards to the Bilingual card (which has rules similar to Half Breed). MunchkinMan made an official ruling that you lose the Bilingual (Half Breed) card for a Change Accent (Change Race) curse. It was also noted that the FAQ entry only applies to voluntary replacement.

And what about when you play Curse Change Race on yourself from your hand? You are voluntarily producing a effect, so you can snatch a race out of the discard. Why should intent modify these things?

The "Change Your Race" Curse says explicitly that you lose all the Race cards you have at that moment, and the Half-Breed card says that when that happens, you must also lose the Half-Breed card. That's the official ruling and has been since the game was first published. It doesn't matter who plays the Curse.
