Possession: Cumulative Attribute Modifiers, ±??%
Greetings, all!
An idea inspired by the discussion of nullable attributes. How about Possession which makes attribute modifiers cumulative. Such as, a ST15 [+50], DX 9 [-20] spirit possesses a ST8, DX10 person, the end result is ST13, DX9? This neatly avoids attribute dumps (for spirits, anyway). Opinions? Pricing? Thanks in advance! |

I'm pretty sure the wendigo in GURPS Horror does that? Definitely that's how spirits worked in 3e GURPS Voodoo and GURPS Spirits.

Re: Possession: Cumulative Attribute Modifiers, ±??%
The 'proper' way of doing this is by adding 'Accessibility: Only on Possessed, -30%' or 'Cosmic, On Possessed As Well, +50%' on the attribute modifiers.
If you really want it to be a modifier on Possession, make it a +100% modifier. That'll cover ST15, DX15, and HT15 all at once. But really, you should add it to the attributes. |
