Curse Weapon Becomes Evil : Help with the Mathematics
I need to understand the actual result of this card.
Base Game: Munchkin Cthulhu Card: Curse! Weapon Becomes Evil The card states that the item with the highest bonus now carries a PENALTY equal to its former bonus Example: Let's consider I am level 7 with a +4 bonus item. So my combat strength is 11. Then I get this curse card. I immediately have to apply it to my +4 item. What is the result of my combat strength? 1. It nullifies my item and I will now fight with a strength of 7? or 2. It removes the bonus of the item and gives me additional -4 penalty, so I end up with a strength of 3? This way I can say the item now has something like a negative bonus? What option (1 or 2) is correct? Please help me, it started a big argument in my group! |

I will tell you, officially, that collinc's response was correct. That'll be all you need.
