Attacks limited to Trance States
Hey, I'm wondering if it was possible to have an immaterial spirit only able to manifest around someone in a trance state, or some other instance of altered state of consciousness? Or to attack someone in such a state. The idea is that only those who are in some altered state of consciousness could be affected by a ghost or some spirit that is otherwise immaterial. Thx.

Sounds like Accessibility limitation to me. Depending on how common trance states are it could be anything from -20% to -60%.

You might as well say this is "universal feature" in your world and price it -0%. Not having this restriction could be an unusual background of 20 points

Hmmm ... Very Lovecraftian. (There are entire ecosystems of horrors in some of his stories that can't attack anyone unless the victim can perceive them first.)

Presently there is a version of Channeling which has an enhancement allowing spirits to manifest, maybe a spirit could use Affliction (Channeling, Substantial Only) on people? |
