Yes, I wasn't thinking when I replied. Sorry.

Re: The Luck Advantage
Depends on how you count the use. I'd personally let you buy a one use Extra Life, i.e. one that lasts for the standard 1 minute duration, then you die again, at the discount though if you really wanted one. I suppose you might want to use something like that to build a long duration Dramatic Death.

Re: The Luck Advantage
I wouldn't buy Extra Life in DF at any cost, because I've never played in a game where the GM didn't just let you make a new character when your old one died...

Though I accept the possibility of some game that would allow it but not given to everyone necessitating a point cost.

I had a DnD character in college (in the frigging 70s!) called Riff-Raff the Riddlemaster (or Riff-Raff the Ragmalian by his detractors). He was a very powerful magic user pretending to be an Illusionist pretending to be a Bard. He was bluffing everybody especially as his persona of the Gray Guardian whom even gods respected (a very long story). Had he died I would have been very sad for a while before I wanted to create a new character. And this was with AD and D, I believe first edition. I didn't think I could remember so much about him! Of all my characters I never thought he'd be the one I missed playing the most.

Re: The Luck Advantage
I may be spelling it wrong, and it may be slang. It means one who wears rags. I doubt even in any of the hundreds of boxes still boxed in my house (I'm working on them, really!) that I have any of the notes or character sheets from that time.

Re: The Luck Advantage
Could be an odd combination of "ragamuffin" and "tatterdemalion"?
