Re: The Future of the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game?
Great as this is, I have to wonder what changed? There seems to be a gap in the thinking between, "The Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game is a failure," and, "We're going to do a bestiary and reprint the boxed set."

Re: The Future of the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game?
Instead of reprinting the entire boxed set would it not be better to do a rules encyclopedia (or something similar) as a single larger book? I am assuming a single book would be cheaper to produce then an entire boxed set but I could be wrong.

Did the following [TIME UNIT] see a boost in how quickly the remaining units moved?

Or, of course, Phil Reed may have been hit with a curse which can only be removed by reprinting boxed games, which would also explain the effort going into the pocket box revival. So, yeah, probably a Munchkin card gone wrong.

Re: The Future of the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game?
At a guess, a single volume would surely be cheaper to manufacture than the box set, but repackaging the set as a single volume has new costs of its own in addition to the manufacturing costs, so you might not ultimately see an improved bottom line.

We're taking these to Kickstarter with a realistic goal. If the project fails, we won't be making either.

Re: The Future of the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game?
One campaign, not two. A printed Bestairy has almost no wide value if the boxed game is not available. Just creating a Bestiary without the box would be a poor use of Sean and the team’s time.
