Elder + gnome + gnome racial = ?

Hello!

I just wanted to explain a scenario that we have quite often when we play Munchkin.

My friend have all expansions so we mix them all, leading to certain scenarios that are questionable.

For example, I was wondering how the Elder Gnome combo works.

As you know the Elder is a Race Enhancer and it says: Your level counts double when you are fighting alone.

Also, the Gnome Racial is: In Combat Alone, You may play one monster from your hand as a one-shot , adding its level to yours.


So here is my question. Is the level that i get from the monster i play from my hand doubled? Like, if i play a Level 12 Wannabe Vampire, does that give me +24 levels if i am a Elder Gnome?


I can understand that the elder gnome combo might be a bit OP if it counts doubles, but at the same time that is what it says.

I cant use the Gnome racial effect if im not playing alone. =)


I would really appreciate a answer if any1 can bothered :P

Per this post, the monster adds to your combat strength, not your level.
