Re: Did the forum change styles?
In that case take a look at the bottom left of the page where it'll say Default Style. Click that and select "Classic Forum Colors".

Re: Did the forum change styles?
It seems like the issues/complaints are minor ones at this point, so we'll be sticking with this color scheme (with the original as an alternate you can choose).
For those commenting on the pale blue, it was chosen because it is a complimentary color (across the color wheel) and designed to be cool instead of warm to provide a visual break in the scheme, making it easier to separate out where new posts begin at a glance. (And to give your eyes a break from the yellows/oranges) |

Re: Did the forum change styles?
Please get rid of the physically painful new color scheme. While you do have the old skin available, the new one still pops up on pages like this, where one posts comments.

I find the classic color scheme had (and has) insufficient contrast between text and background, rendering it harder to read than the new style. Luckily, they provide both, and you can pick your preferred style in the drop-down at the bottom of the page.

Re: Did the forum change styles?
I've sometimes found this sort of thing is sensitive to how good an approximation of black your unpowered screen is. If it's not very black relative to the brightness you have it set to, that can be a problem. In that case you can sometimes improve contrast by switching to dark mode, or inverse colors, or of course by turning up the brightness of the screen if you don't mind eye searing backgrounds.
