Level 9 player vs level 1 for the win
So after few games of play it seems by chance people are pulling low level mobs that we can't make strong enough to stop then from killing for e win. Does anyone have certain rules in place to prevent / help this? Or is that just the name of the game?

Re: Level 9 player vs level 1 for the win
Name of the Game,
one hopes that yourself or another player has Level Modifiers to play against the player fighting for the winning level. I know in my games I hope and pray for a level 1 monster for my last fight. |

In my games people tend to save cards like Out to Lunch and Polymorph Potion to stop those pesky level 9 munchkins from getting a level from the measly level 1 monsters.

Re: Level 9 player vs level 1 for the win
It is a legitimate tactic. It doesn't always work. You may not turn one over or you may have one in your hand and get a monster when you kick down the door. Or you may not be able to keep it in your hand or others may be able to hold onto cards that prevent you winning. The other tactic is make it difficult for them to get to level 9 in the first place if possible. Recently I have started playing nasty cards at level 6 or 7 especially if bad stuff is nasty. If they are holding onto cards to help them win they will have to use them then and not have much when at higher level. So it is all about adapting and finding different ways to mess with people.
