Default The Dungeon Fantasy kickstarter?

I just happened to browse to SJGames' Facebook page, and there was a post about their Kickstarter. Link to the Kickstarter.

I have all the PDFs in the product line, so what is in the Kickstarter (in terms of PDFs) that I don't already have?

If you haven't already read the Kickstarter page (which I highly recommend): the Dungeon Fantasy RPG is a complete, standalone fantasy RPG using GURPS rules, but not requiring anything else. That is, the DFRPG contains all you need to run a dungeon crawl RPG. No Basic Set, no extra PDF, no nothing. It uses a cut-down set of GURPS rules (significantly heavier than Lite, but not containing all of Basic) focused on fantasy gaming. It's also a physical product. It's five thin books in a box, along with dice, cardboard figures, and a few other accessories. It's not something to add to an existing game; it's a way of starting one without having to sort through lots of material. It contains re-edited content from Basic and some of the DF series (particularly 1 and 2), but not really new material.

Nemoricus did an excellent breakdown of each reward level in this post. Feel free to ask further questions in that thread if you want faster answers, as that's where most of the DFRPG discussion is taking place.

You just now are noticing the Kickstarter? Weird. There's a thread by the way.

I don't know what you have, but at least:
  • PDFs of the boxed set's five books, map, and cardboard heroes.
  • PDF of the GM's screen and booklets.
  • +12 issues of Pyramid
  • Pyramid: The Dungeon Fantasy Collection
None of which you have because they don't exist yet.

Do you have Cardboard Heroes 1-10? Because that's in there. Do you have How to Be a GURPS GM? That's there too! How about this month's Dungeon Fantasy 19: Incantation Magic (if you knew about this but not the Kickstarter you have a weirdly selective information source...)?

The WoW expansion has hit, and prior to that, there was the pre-expansion event. So I'm about two months behind in news from SJ Games. :-)

In any case, discussion of that Kickstarter doesn't belong in this forum. Thread closed.
