Default Gaaaahhh!

I'm sorry, but I must vent some frustration here.

It's a great program and all, but it's driving me nuts. I'm an experienced coder, if not a full-fledged programmer, but I just can't manage to get the thing to do what I want without proper documentation of the template syntax. And without proper tools to do it for me, I simply can't get what I want out of the program. At best I can tweak; I can't write anything complicated from scratch.

Please, please, please consider writing complete documentation of the syntax of GCA data files!

Not only considered it, but have tried. The problem is time. I'm self-employed, I do not get paid to work on GCA, and I have to earn a living. Draw your conclusions from that. I feel your pain, I do, but the reality is what it is.

We have the Wiki, which we hoped would help with this, but other people have time issues, or don't feel they know enough to contribute, or whatever, so that hasn't got as much as we'd like, either.

I don't know what else to say, really.
