John "Gentleman Johnny" Darkwater
248-point Human Thief It might be possible that John was once one of the King's Men. Not, of course, one of those beefy goons with halberds, but rather it could be said that "Gentleman Johnny" has a particular set of skills that his Majesty's service might occasionally have need of. You might imagine that he has since fallen out of favor at court, or perhaps you imagine that this is just a cover story and he has never stopped being a King's Man. John can hardly confirm or deny, whatever you choose to imagine.
Nowadays, it would seem that John's business is organizing bands of adventurers seeking their fortunes in the forbidden corners of the world, and making sure they don't get killed by traps or cheated by merchants.
In combat, he'd prefer not to. He is well aware he is both naked and half-blind. He will drop his quick-release backpack, and ready his cloak at the start of a fight. Usually he will try to stay out of melee and lob grenades. If forced into melee he will draw his sword, and make as much use out of retreating, and acrobatic dodge as possible, including using acrobatic guard to buy time. If the conditions are good, the enemy lightly armored, and close to parity in number, he might chance starting the fight with a backstab, in which case his blade is poisoned.
