Re: Just Roll 3d6 - GURPS Content Posts
The review of GURPS Thaumatology: Ritual Path Magic is now posted. Short version: RPM is a really exciting and flexible system. The book is dense with options and modifiers, but the approach itself makes sense once you've done it a couple of times, and there's a lot of freedom for rules-light gamers.

Re: Just Roll 3d6 - GURPS Content Posts
Today's post is a quick GM tip: Faster Combat by Pre-Rolling Dice. GURPS combat has a lot of options, and fights can feel slow when there are lots of characters each using a variety of skills. This post shows the GM how to speed up resolution of NPC actions by pre-rolling their success rolls.

With the holiday GURPS PDF sale going on, I made a post on a shopping list for rules-light GURPS. I welcome any suggestions to add to the list!

Re: Just Roll 3d6 - GURPS Content Posts
The new post on Just Roll 3d6 is live: Estimating GURPS Skill Levels. The Basic Set doesn't give a ton of detail on what skill levels mean, and there's a lot of judgment required for GMs to determine NPC skill levels. This post looks at how to check that skill mechanics match up with the narrative goals.

Re: Just Roll 3d6 - GURPS Content Posts
Balancing GURPS combat is tricky for new GMs, so this post looks at Odds to hit based on skill levels. The important insight is that defense matters a lot more than offense for most situations. As a result, when planning a combat encounter, be sure to evaluate how good each side's defenses are!

I've just posted a lengthy review of the Discworld Roleplaying Game. Overall, this is a solid release. It's excellent for experienced GURPS players and has lots of potential for expanding the GURPS audience.

In your Odds to hit post's graph, I take it red means a miss. But what's the difference between yellow and green?
