Ok, this is encouraging!

Especially if a later expansion focuses on overlays [relying on people to have ODE components seems like it'd be pretty limiting], I'm looking forward to what the powers that be will be able to come up with, freed from the constraints of "G/S maps need to fit the geomorphing pattern".

You could also use Tom's OgreMap Editor or even the Steam version's ability to print out maps now to make overlays. :-)

Concur!

Will any changes be required, or can it go to production?

Do you have a rough ETA?

thanks for the update!

That's Great. It kinds makes it easier to make a scenario around a predeterminded map now that I think of it and keeps the timeline of playing the game intact. Plus this one kinda is more GEV than Ogre and maybe it's time for that. Maybe even a new Frag type of play on this map. Have to try it out and see.

Has anyone mentioned doing actual cities? I'd love to see Detroit especially with all the factories that are near population centers. Or maybe Landmarks such as the area around the statue of Liberty, the beaches of Normandy, the Kremlin area.

I got two. You can come over and look at mine, as long as you don't touch them. :D

When designing the maps, I generally leave the "partial" hexes as generic as possible, to A) allow for variations in printing, and B) allow exactly what you're suggesting.

I have a couple of ideas in this realm up my sleeve. But you've suggested some more! Thanks!
