Wizard and Melee Maps in Google doc
I made wizard and melee maps in a Google Slides document. It's super easy to use Google Slides for remote, collaborative gaming, since everyone can edit and see each others' changes.
I put the maps into master slide layouts so people won't accidentally mess up the hexes. They're not perfect, but they'll work, at least... Feel free to copy this doc and modify for your own gaming: https://docs.google.com/presentation...8258fa4_0_2128 |

You understand that the Melee and Wizard Maps are copyright Steve Jackson, don't you?
making a sheet of paper with hexes on it is something anyone can do Just try not to advertise that you have reproduced a copyrighted work and are giving it away for free. That's probably a bad idea. |

Uh, I made them myself, using hexagon shapes and lines, so no copyright infringement. Thanks for the warning about advertising my "crime" though. Sheesh.

Yeah, thankfully there's no way a pattern of hexagons lines, dots, etc is owned and illegal to redraw.
These are really nice (especially downloaded in SVG scalable format)! For TFT LOS-tracing, it'd be good if they could have center dots. |

OK, I added dots (and stars in the starting hexes). I'm warning any artists out there that I threw this together and it may make your eyes hurt. You have been warned...

Re: Wizard and Melee Maps in Google doc
I made these specifically for remote collaboration, btw, so my friend and I can play over the Intertubes.
It did not occur to me that anyone would want to actually use these maps for anything other than that -- the hexes aren't perfectly lined up. It's a very messy map. Anyone who wants to alter it, by the way, can just copy the doc and go to the View->Master menu to duplicate / change the layouts with the maps in them. As far as I know, this is the best way to deal with maps because the slides will show the maps as protected backgrounds and players won't accidentally move the hexes around when they're trying to move their counters. Someday, maybe I'll make a perfect map in Inkscape to replace the one in the doc... |

Uh, does ANYONE here not know what the Wizard and Melee maps look like? And a simple google search will turn up dozens of specimens and photos.

Re: Wizard and Melee Maps in Google doc
I added a missile range template object you can copy when you want to make measurements or print on a plastic sheet for physical maps. The hex configurations aren't very intuitive if you're not counting the printed megahexes.
